N2XH (VDE)

0.6/1 kV halogen free XLPE insulated power cables (N2XH) are designed for power
transmission and distribution in fixed installations where enhanced fire safety,
low smoke emission, and high thermal performance are required. These cables combine
XLPE insulation with halogen free materials to provide improved current carrying
capacity and reduced toxic gas emission in case of fire.
N2XH cables are widely used in public buildings, industrial facilities, and
infrastructure projects where human safety and system reliability are critical.
Applications
- Power transmission and distribution systems
- Public buildings such as hospitals, schools, and airports
- Industrial facilities and plants
- Commercial and residential buildings
- Infrastructure and utility projects
- Areas requiring low smoke and halogen free cables
N2XH cables are preferred in installations requiring high fire safety standards,
low smoke density, and reliable electrical performance.
Cable Construction
- Conductor: Solid or stranded copper conductor
- Insulation: XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene)
- Inner Sheath: Halogen free compound
- Outer Sheath: Halogen free compound
N2XH cables are constructed with XLPE insulated copper conductors and halogen free
inner and outer sheaths. This design provides excellent thermal performance,
mechanical protection, and minimal smoke and toxic gas emission during fire.
